Shipping & Returns

Returns Policy

You may return most new, unopened items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. The Customer is responsible for the Return Shipping Cost, unless the item was sent incorrectly or defective.  We can Not Refund Shipping Charges.  We use the Shipping Charges to cover Boxes, Packing Materials, Insurance and the Price of Postage, and therefore, that money is spent when your package ships to you.  However, if your package is returned due to a Defective Item, we will refund your shipping charges.

You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).

Shipping

We can ship to virtually any address in the world. Note that there are restrictions on some products, and some products cannot be shipped to international destinations.

When you place an order, we will estimate shipping and delivery dates for you based on the availability of your items and the shipping options you choose. Depending on the shipping provider you choose, shipping date estimates may appear on the shipping quotes page.

Please also note that the shipping rates for many items we sell are weight-based. The weight of any such item can be found on its detail page. To reflect the policies of the shipping companies we use, all weights will be rounded up to the next full pound.

US Postal Service - US Orders
Allow 2-5 business days for delivery after package is shipped.   Insurance is available as an additional option, during Check-Out.  Delivery Tracking is included. Normal order processing is 2 - 5 business days. Special Order Items and Custom Ordered items may have a longer processing/production time.  The processing/production time on these items are indicated on the product listing.   These items may also ship separate from other items ordered.   Please order early to insure proper delivery for events, holidays, or parties.

has raised International Shipping Charges Tremendously. Unfortunately,
we were forced to increase our International Shipping Prices to accommodate
this increase. If the price quoted is higher then the actual shipping/packaging
charges, we will provide a discount on the shipping charge amount.

International Orders:

USPS MAIL: Once the package ships, allow 1-3 weeks for delivery.  USPS does provide shipping confirmation numbers that may be used to track the location a package bar code was scanned.  Insurance on International Orders as an option that may be added during Check-Out.  Dachshund Gifts.com is not responsible if the package is damaged, delayed, lost, or stolen.  USPS and Dachshund Gifts will investigate a packages location, but it may take up to 60 days for a response and there is no guarantee on the package unless it has been Insured.  The buyer/customer is responsible for any and all duties or taxes their country may charge on imports.

Cancelled Orders on Custom Made Items (Scarves, Embroidered Items,

 

Hats, Harnesses, Dresses, Collars, Leashes and Bandanas)

 

If a Customer has to Cancel an order on any of our custom made items, and the item is already created, there is a minimun charge of $10.00 Material Fee, used to cover the cost of the item.  If the item has not been created prior to the cancel, there will not be a Materials Fee.  Once an item is Custom Created in a Customer's Size, Color, or Personalized Name, it is no longer sellable to any other buyer, except the customer that purchased that item.  Therefore, we must charge this $10.00 Material Fee.  Please remember to Measure for proper size and double check for proper spelling on all custom orders.  Non-payment for Additional Charges Due on Shipping for International Custom Orders will result in a Cancelled Order, due to lack of payment and is subject to the $10.00 Material Fee.  
All Cancelled Orders on Custom Items are subject to a $10.00 Material Fee.

Packages Returned to us from Postal Service:
If packages are returned to our store by the postal delivery service due to a customer's error in the shipping address, there may be an additional charge for re-shipping your package.  We will email you for confirmation of address and for any additional shipping charges needed.  If it is due to an error of Dachshund Gifts, we will ship the package again, promptly, for Free.  
All Canceled Orders are subject to a $10.00 Restocking Fee.

Exchange Policy

 

We will happily exchange any non-personalized product. Please let us know what product(s) you will be exchanging for and the reason for the exchange before you ship the product(s) back. At that time, we will let you know how much, if any, additional shipping charges will be needed for the new product(s) shipment. The new product(s) will be shipped to the same address as the first products unless otherwise advised. Returns can be mailed back to us using any safe shipping means the customer chooses at the customer's expense.

Return Policy

 

All non-personalized products may be returned within 60 days for a refund. We must be notified of the return before it is shipped back to us. We can not refund shipping costs. Shipping charges are spent at the time the package is shipped out and therefore, are not refundable. The refunded amount will be credited back to the customer's credit card. If the customer paid via check or money order, we will refund the customer in the form of a check or money order. Refund proof will be mailed to the customer's "Bill To" address. Returns may be mailed back to us using any safe shipping means the customer chooses at the customer's expense.

Gift Certificate Codes or Discount Codes
Periodically, Dachshund Gifts may offer discount codes or Gift Certificate codes to be used when placing an order.  We can only accept one Discount Code or Gift Certificate Code per order.  If you have several codes, please review them and enter your best discount code when placing your order.
