Handcrafted, standard rural mailbox with primed pine wood & sealed w/polyurethane. Some minor assembly is required. Please see assembly info below.

Assembly Information:
Due to the large size of the mailbox and standard size shipping requirements, the the dachshund head will need to be assembled to the mailbox, by the customer. All hardware and instructions are included, as well as, listed below.

How to Assemble your Dachshund Mailbox:

To mount the mailbox to a single 4” by 4” vertical post you need a piece of wood 18” long by 6” wide by ¾” thick nailed or screwed to the top of the post, Then you can screw on your mailbox to the top piece.

To mount the mailbox on a 4” by 4” vertical post with a 4 by 4 horizontal post attached to it you will need the same 18” by 6” by ¾” piece of wood nailed to the top of a 8” piece of 4” by 4” wood and you need a piece of wood 10” by 4” wide by ¾” thick nailed to the bottom of the 4 by 4 piece and then you have to nail that section to the horizontal post so it raises it up so the feet will clear, then screw your mailbox on as described above.
